Regent Carvalho In Action
Regent Carvalho has been very involved in the many NSHE colleges throughout Nevada since being elected Regent of District 12. One of her favorite activities is visiting the campuses and participating in commencement ceremonies.
Business Owner
Regent Amy Carvalho and her husband successfully owned and operated three 7-Eleven franchise stores from 2003-2022. Her strong business acumen and leadership skills as NSHE board chair can be partly contributed to her nearly 20 year success as an entrepreneur.
Rotary
Amy is a proud member and past president of the Boulder City Sunrise Rotary club.
Amy Carvalho Wins!
Amy Carvalho wins the 2018 election and becomes Regent Amy Carvalho of the Nevada System of Education. In 2022 Amy becomes the Chair of the Board of Regents by a unanimous vote of the board.
